So many exciting announcements in such a short amount of time! Today we got introduced to the new concept of the ‘power pack’, a consolidation of updated tools and new releases that can help power conversions for search and YouTube ads. PMax Channel Performance Released!
Though we haven’t learnt about any further details, we now know that it has been launched in beta today and coming to us all in Q3.
Adapt To The New Ways People Search
Ads can now appear within Google AI Overviews! With Google’s new implementation of AI, more and more people are relying on AI summaries when they search- and this will be a perfect way to expand the reach of your ads! For example, someone searches how to travel with small dogs, Google will give a step-by-step guide and (more importantly) showcase a selection of shopping ads for the user to buy a dog carrier.
Power Your Search With AI
Keep up with the new way people search for things with AI Max for search campaigns- essentially, a fun new package of previously seen features such as expanded search term matching, final URL expansion and ad copy customisation (all done by AI of course). Proven to generate a 27% increase in conversion rate at a similar CPA, this new feature can be activated with one easy click.
Infinite Creatives with Google AI
We all know that struggle of needing more creatives but not having the resources or time to create them. Worry no longer with Google’s generative AI which can help you create endless variations of image and video creatives!
All you need to do is:
- Upload an image with asset studio (you can even take a picture of your product with your phone- handy!)
- Type in a prompt.
- Receive a high-quality image or video creative in seconds!
For example, you can take a quick snap of some trousers you want to sell, type in a description of what you want, and get a video of an AI model wearing your product! Each creative will have a ‘Synth ID’, making it clear when AI generation is used.
This also means that shopping and search ads will allow video creatives! Now you can really showcase how your product looks in motion with AI generated videos of your bestsellers.
Talk To Your AI Agent
Not much is known about this feature, but we got to see a sneak peek of it during GML. Your AI Agent will be a tool that you can use to identify if (for example) are missing a tracking tag on your website and additionally help you implement it in-platform!
This will be released later in the year and is said to be able to give more sophisticated recommendations as it learns over time. Only time will tell how useful this will be!
Shop On YouTube & TV
Shopping on YouTube has just gotten easier with the following new updates:
- New prospecting controls means that you can exclude people who have previously interacted with your brand.
- Users don’t have to leave the app to make their purchase! Advertise and sell on YouTube Shorts!
- Customers using connected TV can make purchases on their phones.
- Boost your partnership with YouTube creators using the new Creative Partnership Hub.
Merchant Centre- Your Centre of Control
Merchant Centre will become more of a central hub with a unified video manager where you can control videos on your website and socials. You will also be able to access ideas whit how you can improve performance and catch trends.
